Volunteer carvers, fundraisers, artistic designers,
mechanics, painters, media people, and board members have
joined forces to share their enthusiasm, talents, and
resources. Carousel horses are "sponsored" by individuals,
families, neighborhoods, schools, businesses, or
corporations. Carved frames for mirrored canopy panels and
other decorative carvings may also be "sponsored."
Want to volunteer to help the Spirit of Columbia Gardens
Carousel become a reality? To be added to the list of
volunteers write or e-mail the below addresses. You can also
find us at our carving room located in the Butte Plaza
Mall.
The type of volunteers currently needed are:
- Woodworkers
Carving, painting, sanding, and all the other facets of
pony crafting need skilled and unskilled hands. Stop by
the carving room in the Butte Plaza Mall and get to know
us.
- Mechanics
Our mechanical committee is in charge of the metal frame
that the horses are attached to. We are working on our
frame that we purchased in April of 1997, and have
regular meetings that you can attend and get to know what
you can do and who the other volunteers are.
- Fund-raisers
Find the money. Inspiring the community to see our vision
and join us in creating a Butte attraction that will
delight our children as long as the first Columbia
Gardens carousel did.
- Other
Volunteers
There are many opportunities available to help, so let us
know what you can do.
